Of note, the Quality of Experience Working Group will be finalizing documents for distribution to the CTA (as part of the Alliance's partnership), and the Open Caching Working Group will be in member voting. The Alliance's Working Groups will comprise a significant portion of today's agenda, where members break out into separate sessions to move forward on a broad range of important streaming topics. The study group will issue an industry report on the findings in Q2 of 2017. The Alliance's group will seek to understand and document the VR industry in an effort to identify opportunities for developing best practices. While virtual reality / 360-degree video has the potential to revolutionize the video experience, widespread adoption is challenged by a lack of industry standards.
